TIME JUST GETS AWAY

Well I am a self confessed great writer but when time gets away from you it just doesn’t happen. Having a journal is a great place to keep people in touch with where I am at and what I am doing.

I know I should be better at promoting myself whether it be on Facebook or Instagram etc but I seem to be very busy nonetheless. I have weddings I have not written about nor published their photographs and I apologise. Generally the spring and summer time is very busy for me and I dedicate myself to the next wedding or funeral. I promise I shall do better in the future :).

Same old story for all I am afraid, lock-down has created a void that will take some time to fill not just for business but for our emotional well being. I do not wish to drag this blog down as we all know too well what this pandemic has done. I have kept myself busy nonetheless with webinars and courses.

On a lighter note I have been taking bookings for 2021 and have had the honour of meeting new faces via face time and messenger and some postponements have actually not proven too devastating for my couples as fortunately their venues have been very accommodating. Some couples have actually been pleased to have more time to dedicate to organising their day without the time constraints. I cannot wait to get back to the job I love - weddings.

The funerals I have been doing have been so beautiful and live streaming has enabled those that could not attend the opportunity to be a part of the celebration of their loved ones life. Also, having video tributes sent in has, in part, been comforting to members who could not be present and somewhat less daunting for those doing the tribute. I feel blessed to be able to honour someones life for their family.
